Long-distance runners all look old before their time. Sprinting is ok.

the myth: the "runner's face" has been proven as a result of prolonged sun exposure and even air pollution while running, some even compared it to a treadmill runner's face to prove causation, so, use sunscreen always before going out on a run

the truth: collagen wears down with aging, and running is an oxidative process, giving your body [and skin] a lot of free radicals due to stress, how can you prevent it? diet with collagen, hydration and vitamin C plus antioxidants [in short, fresh orange juice]

things you should already have to been doing if you are running frequently
take care

I used to do long-distance running professionally. And yes, the older ones (30 plus) did always look older than they actually were, but I always attributed that to them having such low body-weight and body fat.

I agree with the sun thing though, it definitely aged them a lot, too.
