So ik there are sutures in the maxilla that widen and grow forward. My question is, if I forward grow my maxilla, say with a 3 way expander or towel method. Would my mandible move with it? Or will I end up with an overbite from an under grown mandible. I don’t have really much knowledge about how the craniofacial bones interact with each other. Talking about the palatomaxillary suture in the back. I’m not even sure this suture can move / expand but I’m guessing if the one in the middle does, the other one must too.

i believe the best way to move your lower jaw forward is mewing and training jaw muscles in general, as they will put more pressure on the bone they are attached to and move it forward ig. this type of stuff the younger you are the better, otherwise you would need to put more strenght and frequency to see results.

have you personally tried it? i was actually thinking about start doing it seriously, i dont see it being different from mewing tbh. ive excercised mewing in the sleep and i think im getting better. i will implement more types of thumbpulling etc, the only regret is not starting years ago tbh

I don’t think so. There was this guy who had his maxilla moved much forward with an expander but his mandible didn’t seem to change. Here’s the video on it

with that posts/reputation ratio this reply doesnt really surprise me. either give an actual answer or just say its over and gtfo

Iq max

Depends how much, let’s say the maxilla moves 5-6mm forward (a lot) the mandible may move 3-4mm if you’re lucky and below let’s say 16. If you’re HGH and test is high, that could be 5-6mm but again it’s not that likely. Look towards 3mm of reassignment.

in the past i had a pretty forward grown maxilla with a large 10mm overbite so yea its definitely possible

overbite without excessive downgrowth is usually due to malnutrition or prenatal and or horomonal issues

yeah it's supposed to. but if your mandible grows too fast compared to the mandible, and there isn't stress to grow it, it won't grow as much as the maxilla.
