I think a better analogy would have been a fat but fitted jacket. It adds volume to your body and can even make you look bigger. I personally always look bigger with a jacket. If the jacket is buggy, it does look like I’m overcompensating. Getting long hair but styling it well does indeed give your head more volume imo. If it’s too long, then I’d say you look like you’re overcompensating

For me, i have the opposite problem. I have a huge skull, and if I rock medium length hair, it only makes my head look bigger and makes my bideltoid look much, much smaller. I’ve photographed and documented this on myself
This is why I’m saying what I say, as well as knowing 3 men with pinheads, one of which used to get made fun of for it, until he got mid length voluminous hair.
