Does zygomatic osteotomy move temporal bone ?

It won’t look natural if the zygos are too wide in relation to the temples.

But I remember reading a while ago from someone who asked Zarrinbal if they would need temple implants to harmonize with the ZO and he said the ZO also moves part of the temporal bone laterally. Can anyone confirm this?

If you look at this result, it does look like a bit of the temporal bone (lateral to the eye) was augmented as well. It’s not just the malar area. But it’s hard to really tell with swelling.

I want to see the actual result without any swelling so bad.

Looks good doesn’t it? I agree though I think the swelling is giving anterior projection too as this surgery should only move the malar laterally.

Her face looks shorter and better. What worries me is how her eyes have this extreme darkness around them, like they are set too far behind now. Hope this is just because of the swelling.

Easy fix with an IORI, which would be the icing on the cake.

The more you can fix with bone osteotomies the better. And IORi will never look fake or uncanny because of the smaller surface area that it covers.

Also there was so much talk about how ZO gives a feminine result. If anything this result is masculine. I see a flanged look and not rounded cheekbones... hmm..

Looking up IORI doesnt bring anything surgery related. Guess Is not a common procedure.

Is the ZSO cut not too low to move the upper part of the zygomatic arch (where the connection to the temples would be)? I recall that being a common complaint with the effectiveness (same reason why u can see how deficient her infraorbitals are afterwards).

@foreverugly1 have you seen b/a's?

That’s what I thought, but this result looks like the cut was high up.

Her infraorbitals are deficient because they weren’t supposed to be moved. Nothing to do with whether the cut was high or low.

Yea I know, but that's one of the biggest differences between this and a "true" zygomatic osteotomy (like a mfl3 which contains the orbitals). The tapered look is masculine imo, but I could see it being overdone. Tbh, I've seen so much conflicting information about various zygomatic osteotomies that I kinda want to get a consult with Zarrinbal or Andreishchev just to ask in detail.

Well a modified lefort 3 will cost you 30k USD and what surgeons even perform this besides Sinn in the States who’s like 80 and retiring soon. Do you know of anyone else, Richardson in India ?

I actually asked Andreishchev if the cut could be modified to be closer to the nose to bring more of the midface forward, and he said it was possible but not recommended for me because it would make my already narrow face narrower.

So maybe the cut can be customized, but I think he’s just saying that tbh, or maybe misunderstood what I was asking.
