I just got told by a orthodontist that i have a recessed maxilla and that i can get bimax (covered by public services). Im very happy about it but i have to wait years. Im currently 18 years old and i have to wait till i stop growing. The orthodontist said 25 years old. That sounds very late to me but im just wondering what yall think should i try to get the process started sooner or what should i do? I live in denmark btw.

your orthodontist needs to pick up a book

Most surgeons' opinion is that 18 is already developed. for women even 16-17

from personal experiences, there can be some orthodontists which are just way too outdated/should hit retirement. after my first ortho consultation about bimax and disagreement, I went to another and it was like day and night. If you know a young/knowledgeable ortho hit him up asap

Lucky man. Do everything in your power to antiage until then. Tretinoin ghk diet etc. 25 seems a bit late but it’s still a win nonetheless

My bimax is also getting covered by public services the surgeon made me get an X-Ray at 18 and another at 19 to see if I would grow anymore now I just turned 20 and getting braces for a year then will have surgery

If ur orthodontist is saying that its probably a sign u need it they are often super bluepilled about that sort of thing
