Downside of being their Jester

All my life, even in kindergarden, I wanted to be funny. If i was funny then people would like me, and it was easier than being kind, good looking, or helpful.

All I ever did was joke, try desperately to entertain them, and I got pretty good at it. I could tell when my jokes weren't hitting, and quickly shut myself up, but usually it worked well.

But once you're their jester their entertainment, that's all you will ever be. I can't say anything to anyone, with a wish to be taken seriously

I could never tell anyone about my org vents, because they'd think it's just some weird bit I'm doing and laugh at me.


A couple years back, when I kept a dream journal, I had a nightmare. I dreamt that a birthday party clown, but a gorilla started attacking me. picking me up, throwing me around, etc. I screamed and pleaded for help from the birthday kids but they just thought that I was a really good clown, and this was all a joke.

I can never be anything more than "that kinda funny guy" to anybody. I might as well reincarnate and try again in the next life.
