Im probably only gonna run it for 6 week, after that im gonna just try giving just diet and skincare one last chance, if its cope ill go straight to Isotrentinoin.

Do you feel any major side affects from the accutane? Like depression or joint pain?

Obviously a topical retinoid isn't applicable if you have acne local to places other than specifically your face.

what makes it dog shit?

All antibiotics are dog shit.
If you can elect to not use an antibiotic for treatment of something, you should.
I'd only use antibiotics if it was my only solution, but doxycycline is objectively worse than isotretinoin, it is not the only solution for acne nor even a good one.

Shut up with the diet and skincare shit dude holy shit.
Take a low dose of isotretinoin and taper up to 20-30mg/day. If you notice undesirable sides then just cut your dose back down to a point where you didn't notice said sides.

My derma is making me run it for at least 6 weeks before he gives me isotrent.

You're right about the diet and skincare being cope, especially for deep cystic acne, I was just coping and was scared of accutane for some reason, jfl.

I just saw some threads a while back about it messing with youre height in development, and how it leads to permanent changes. But atp my acne is too much of a failo to ignore.

Been on doxy several times throughout my life. It's one of the safer antibiotics I think. The only bad part is that it could cause loose stools, so take it with food (and avoid dairy)

great, no acne anymore just super small pimples barely even noticeable.

quite expensive yea
Ill finish out this phase of doxy and then ill ask my doctor to put me on a low dose of isotrent. I gotta stop coping about it jfl
