DRINKING ON RETA 🍻⚠️ READ THIS BEFORE YOU GO OUT

This may be useful to some people, it would have been useful to me a few months ago.

If you already get shaky, dizzy, anxious, or light-headed when drinking (grow up) or if you skip meals or are very lean, sensitive to stimulants or alcohol, or have a history of hypoglycaemia, panic attacks, fainting, or (even diabetes), drinking on retatrutide is where things go wrong fastest. So read this.

Basically because of tiktok, everyone who isn't 12% bf seems to be wanting to buy reta.

A lot of them are late teens and early 20s or students in college and at this age a big part of social life at that age is just going out drinking. Of course alcohol alternatives are out there and a lot of people use them on the forum, and a lot of these alternatives would stop a lot of these issues you may get drinking on reta, but a lot of the time they just aren't as accessible or just not your thing.

Firstly, you CAN drink on reta. There’s no direct interaction. Nothing biologically clashes in a dangerous way. But a lot of indirect stuff can go wrong, and when it does it can ruin your night fast. This is more about making drinking on reta feel less shit on ur body

Why it feels different
Reta fucks with appetite, digestion, blood sugar, thirst, and sometimes BP, and so does alcohol hits all of those too. This will cause you to have a lower tolerance, nausea quicker, worse hangovers, etc.

Hypoglycaemia - MAIN RISK
This is the main risk for people. Reta improves insulin sensitivity, alcohol stops your liver putting glucose out. Blood sugar can drop mid drink or hours later (often in your sleep). Eventually you'll wake up sweaty and anxious and feeling like somethings wrong, and this feeling usually doesn’t hit while you’re drinking. On reta it shows up later, especially in your sleep. You can wake up heart racing, feeling panicked for no reason.

The actual danger with hypoglycaemia is your brain running out of glucose. Best case you feel awful and disoriented. Worst case you can faint, black out, or in extreme situations have a seizure. (extremely unlikely for anyone reading)

Best way to avoid it is eat a proper meal earlier in the day, drink slower, and ive found sticking to clear spirits helps me. Ive always been fine mixing drinks but on reta it fucks u up, i found that vodka with cordial and water helps your stomach to not feel like its gonna pop and occasionally have a sugary mixer, while hydrating the whole time. Keep some quick carbs on you during the night and before bed if you have issues with blood sugar drinking on reta, Haribos, fruit juice, honey, or a banana. so if you feel off or wake up shaky you can bring blood sugar back up fast.

Eat earlier, not right before
Don’t drink fully fasted on reta, but also don’t eat a huge meal right before. Reta slows digestion, so food sitting in your stomach can make nausea worse. This is how i threw up Jägermeister all over my shoes in a club. Best move is eating earlier in the day and letting it digest. Protein + easy carbs works best. Rice, potatoes, sourdough, fruit, salt. Super fatty meals right before drinking usually make things worse. And if youre eating processed unhealthy foods on reta wtf are you doing. eat whole foods paleo primal carnvore animal based whatever it doesnt rlly matter. if youre gonna drink on reta at least mitigate the risks by eating good, you should be anyway on reta

Throwing up is worse on reta
GLP drugs already increase nausea. Alcohol irritates your stomach. Together, vomiting happens faster and hits harder. If you throw up, that could be the night done. You’ve lost fluids, electrolytes, and carbs and your blood sugar can crash. Obviously youre not gonna want to go home, so try and eat, pound down water and get another vodka mixer and youll be back in the game.

Dehydration + head rushes
Reta can blunt thirst, alcohol dehydrates you. That’s why people get dizzy or nearly faint standing up. Drink water even if you don’t feel thirsty. Electrolytes earlier in the day help a lot.

Injection timing
A lot of people feel worse drinking on or right after injection day. Just something to note. - (https://www.joinvoy.com/blog/retatrutide-and-alcohol)

If you think this is pointless or that it won’t happen to you, it could catch u out. All I’m saying is bear this stuff in mind.

If youre on less than 4mg reta and you drink, the chances are you won't have too much of an issue. but if youre a student like me or just someone who enjoys getting extremely drunk on a night out and is on reta, you can easily ruin your night. just type in drinking r3ta on tiktok and youll see lots of people talking about how unenjoyable it is.

cutting fat and drinking in a club around women is probably not a bad thing for incels. this info is probably best for the audiences of those frat guys on tiktok selling peptides with a referral code though to be fair, but they will never see it most likely

I've fainted on reta before, legit just blacked out while standing and injured my hip (To be fair I just woke up from sleep and had no carbs yet) But yes this is a huge issue especially if you're sub 12% bodyfat. Stay carbed up at all times

alc + reta + selank for me, selank arrived today but havent reconstituted it.

to be fair im probs not gonna mix it with drinking, not sure yet just gonna try it out

just dont drink
?

I'm on Reta and I usually drink fasted. When I don't drink fasted and I have a meal like a few hours before drinking, drinking vodka is REALLY hard. First it tastes like shit anyways, I can't stand the fucking taste of it even when I'm hungry / fasted.

I once ate my meal and went out like an hour later, and I almost threw up trying to finish my 250ml vodka bottle because it tasted like shit and I wasn't hungry at all.

i only drink vodka on it with lime soda or water and cordial and usually like 16-22 units and its been rough
