Zodiac is a good pick. I know it’s technically not horror but it was suspenseful + about a serial killer so I still see it as a horror movie.

I agree but it's based on the Zodiac Killer who was never caught. Made sense. I think it was inspired by a similar flick about an uncaught serial killer that came out in 2003.

Yes, he got shot in the end right? Instead of surviving, I think the version where he survived leaves a deeper message, either way it’s a great movie

That’s the alternate ending (where he gets killed). The actual ending is where he survives. But yes, both basically come down to the same message: “Once you’ve been accused and proven innocent, you’ll always be guilty to some.”
