I’ve tried many drugs to help me lower my social inhibition and appear more neurotypical (I am an autist with ADHD). I will give a general overview and pros/cons for each.

Pregabalin (daily use)

Dose: 50-100mg 3x a day (150-300mg daily), 600mg daily max when going out

Mechanism of Action:
Important to know it is not a GABA acting drug such as a benzodiazepine, this is a common misconception due to its name (which comes from its structure being similar to GABA)
Pregabalin binds to Voltage-Gated Calcium Ion Channels on presynaptic CNS neurones, leading to less glutamate release into the synaptic cleft and hence a lower chance of an action being generated in the postsynaptic neurone.

Pregabalin was definitely the most interesting drug here. I felt some noticeable reduction of anxiety, without affecting my personality. Using pregabalin one off does not give the same effect as daily use, I noticeably improved over time and not just as soon as I started taking it, as my receptors adapted. I estimate it was about 3x more effective when daily dosed. However, I had to discontinue it due to side effects such as suicidal ideation, sleepiness alongside insomnia, and brain fog amongst others. The brain fog can be attributed to the reduction of glutamate, which is important for cognition.I experienced mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms and had to taper over 2 weeks.
Warning: Pregabalin down regulates VGCC receptors quickly, it’s effectiveness will decrease over time and potentially require increasing doses. It takes about 2 weeks to develop a tolerance and begin experiencing withdrawal within 1-4 days of stopping it.
I have seen some cases of adults taking gabapentinoids for several years and being completely fine, and some cases where they had to discontinue after 6 months due to tolerance.

Pros:
- Very effective at reducing social inhibition especially with daily use
- Experienced very little sexual dysfunction, made me last about 20% longer
- Very cheap and easy to legally obtain drug

Cons:
- Caused suicidal ideation and depression
- Down-regulates Voltage-Gated Calcium Ion Channels, tolerance builds quickly
- Brain fog
- Sleepiness + Insomnia together

Amphetamine

Dose: 10mg 3x a day (30mg daily) *pure dextroamphetamine

Mechanism of Action: Inhibits VMAT2 and causes the release of monoamines Dopamine and Norepinephrine, whilst also preventing their re uptake and causing reuptake channels to run in reverse. This causes a great increase of the amount of dopamine and Norepinephrine

Amphetamine helped me become more confident. It helped boost my ego a ton, and I began seeing women and other men as little shits and would talk with a much lower fear of rejection. It also made me crave more human interactions, forcing me to engage socially. I also was able to talk a lot more and for longer, finding words and things to continue conversations with became much easier. It boosted focus, suppressed my appetite, and the short half life of the IR allowed me to adapt it to my awful sleep schedule as prolonged release stimulants such as lisdexamfetamine (Vyvanse) can cause insomnia if not dosed early in the morning. This did however cause noticeable crashes of dopamine and this caused me to be slightly more depressed and tired, especially on days where I didn’t take any. Amphetamine withdrawal was not severe, especially when you are taking consistent, medical doses unlike abuse. The withdrawal experienced from stimulants is also going to make you more tired instead of the wired anxious feeling you get from inhibitory drugs such as benzodiazepines or pregabalin. It did however cause dry mouth, dry eyes, agitation and increased anxiety, and restlessness. The worst side effect was that it seemed to make me more of an autist, i feel that it unmasks me and I become more socially awkward despite talking more. I would stay away from this if you have trouble controlling what you say. I often would make up shit to make myself seem more interesting or just say weird things to people in conversations without thinking twice and feeling like I can’t control what I am saying despite my subconscious being reluctant.

Pros:
- Improved Cognition
- Appetite Suppression
- Increased talkativeness
- Made sex feel better
- Made me enjoy and want social interactions
- Made me thing of topics to talk about better

Cons:
- Dry eyes and Dry mouth
- Turns me into mode of an autistic weirdo
- Hypertension + Tachycardia
- Made me a bit more anxious when speaking weirdly enough
- Difficult to source (legally of course)

Propranolol

Dose: 10mg as needed up to 3 times a day, 40mg once a day

Mechanism of action: It blocks 2 receptors, beta 1 and beta 2 adrenergic receptors. This prevents adrenaline from binding to rhem and activating them, which would cause things like increased heart rate. Hence, when you get nervous and you spike your adrenaline, it prevents that from causing an increase in heart rate.

Propranolol is an incredible safe drug (unless you are an asthmatic). It causes very little rebound tachycardia when stopping it and is usually very short term. It is not addictive at all. It did not help me mentally directly but would prevent physical symptoms of anxiety such as heart rate, sweating, snd nervousness in my voice. I feel that this in turn prevents me from getting more anxious, helping me mentally in some way. It is a great drug for dating or even a college presentation.

Pros:
- Extremely easy to obtain
- Very effective at reducing physical symptoms of anxiety
- Very safe
- No dependence risk
- Very cheap
- Lowers resting bp and hr, great additive to stimulants if monitored carefully (risks masking adverse stimulant side effects)
- Makes you seem like less of an autist as it helps you talk more fluently and make eye contact

Cons:
- Hypotension and Bradycardia if overdosed
- Can’t use it if you are asthmatic or on certain medications, consult a doctor or whatever
- Doesn’t reduce mental anxiety by a considerable degree

Sertraline

Dose: 50mg every day, takes 6 weeks for maximum effect

Mechanism of action: selective seretonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI)

Disclaimer: I that SSRIs are getting too bad of a reputation. Yes it can cause many issues but they are comparable or much more mild that other drugs. I will talk honestly about my experience and mention everything as information about SSRIs online is too polarising, the truth is much more in the middle.

I started this drug when I was a late teenager. It took a while for it to start working. It started to really kick in 4 weeks after starting it. I began to norice that my BDD had improved significantly and I was able to be much more lowinhib when socialising. It also helped wity my depression by a large degree. However, I experienced refuced libido maybe by about 20% but lots of sexual dysfunction, especially early on in the first few weeks. I got cock Ed as explained in my previous forum and eventually had to try gooning like 7 days in a row to eventually finally cum. This improved a lot by week 6, I only lasted about 30% longer than my baseline, libidio was still down. It did not make me gain weight in fact it suppressed my appetite, particularly during first few weeks. I experienced dry mouth and a strange milky taste. I had hand shivering in first few weeks and pupil dilation. I found that using my dextroamphetamine before sex and having sex in the afternoon (I dosed sertraline in morning) helped me cum faster. Sertraline gave me very bad insomnia in the first few weeks and whilst it improved, it never returned to baseline. Sertraline however did make me into a social autistic weirdo just like dextroamphetamine, but I was more likeable, however in a jester way.

Pros:
- Reduced BDD
- Reduced Anxiety considerably
- Made me very low inhib
- Suppressed my appetite
- Can be used for a prolonged time with relative safety

Cons:
- Takes too long to bust a nut
- Makes you extra autist
- Probably will lower test and give you tits
- Withdrawal is hell
- Very rare but very bad side effects are possible
- Seretonin syndrome is possible (albeit very rare)

I’ve also tried baclofen and it is legit very good and can be used for an extended period of time, I will make a separate guide on baclofen later, but it will not be included in this ranking.

I have also trued phenibut, ketamine, alprazolam, diazepam, and other similar drugs. These are not included here because they cannot be used long term safely or reliably.

Ranking (Best to Worst):
1. Amphetamine
2. Propranolol
3. Sertraline
4. Pregabalin

My personal favourite most effective cocktail:
30mg Amphetamine to make me talk more and have a personality

20mg propranolol taken as needed, I pop 10mg tablets here and there no problem with this as long as max dose isn’t over about 160. It helps counteract the amphetamine hypertension and tachycardia. It helps make me less autistic and talk fluently.

Sertraline 50mg taken every day. Causes many side effects but not severe enough for it to outweigh the positives obtained. I am already on testosterone so don’t have to worry about it cucking me anymore.

Finally Baclofen (40mg a day in total) helps stabilise my mood and prevents me from looking autistic. I dose baclofen 10mg morning, 10mg midday, and 20mg at night. This helps keep its levels very stable depsite the half-life being so long, I find that stabilising drug levels for GABAergic drugs is very important.

I take this every day consistently, add on each drug slowly and not all at once. I would recommd starting with sertraline if you want it. If not, start with propranolol and see kf this helps you enough.

If you want the full cocktail, start sertraline first, followed by baclofen, followed by dexamfetamine, followed by propranolol. Start the dexamfetamine at 5mg twice a day them go up to 30mg a day in total and adjust the propranolol alongside it to essentially match it.

A ratio of 1:2 (dexamfetamine:propranolol) seems to be optimal.

lol this is peak autism posting

pregabalin for brain fog and suicidal thoughts is brutal. you're literally frying your brain and making yourself depressed to feel less anxious for 2 hours. ngmi

amphetamines making you more autistic is also a classic failo. ego boost is temporary cope. that "i see women and men as little shits" line? lmao. you're just masking with aggression.

propranolol is the only thing here that's even close to usable, and even then, it's just for physical symptoms. doesn't fix the root problem.

and sertraline? lmao. turning into a jester autistic weirdo while tanking ur sex drive and probably ur test.

just water and hit the gym dude. all this drug shit is just suifuel for losers.

this is not good for long term, anxiety will never be fixed truly
