The Dutch documentary "Are All Men Pedophiles?" argues that there is a difference between pedophilia and hebophilia. Pedophilia is attraction to 0-12 year-olds, hebophilia is attraction to 12-16 year-olds. The documentary says most men are hebophile, meaning they can be sexually attracted to girls who are 12-16 year olds (especially 14-16 year-olds).
Surprisingly, the documentary reveals that most fashion models are 16 years old. It also shows that 16 year-old girls are portrayed as sexual beings in the media (television, music), even in countries where the age of consent is above 16.
It also shows the negative consequences of labeling everything as pedophile which is sexual activities with or between people under 16. For example, about one-third of all sexual offenders in the US are kids, as they get punished when they engage with other kids, just like adults (even when they "only" send nudes).
Look at the like-dislike ratio:
Seems like people don't like the message. But I think the documentary has a point. The age of consent should be 14, and while I think it's not good when adults (20+) date 14 year-olds (because of the maturity difference), it should be legal anyway. What do you think?
