Eating in a deficit and not going to the gym for 2 weeks made my face lean and handsome

Wasnt able to train and eat enough for 2 weeks. Lost almost one kg. Because i was paranoid of too much weight loss i ate 500kcals more and went to the gym 4 times this week. My face looks way more puffy and rounder than before.
When i ate in deficit i woke up every morning with a lean defined face :(
I guess bulking would turn me into a water balloon.

Its high protein intake which makes ur face puffy

high protein makes stomach bloated, so why not face aswell?
Because stomach bloats up due to digesting the protein, resulting in you burping and farting a bunch.
