What do u guys think the effect on the stock market is going to be due to the war right now. (Dubai is an economic hub, Iran and other Middle East countries like Abu Dhabi are large suppliers of oil etc)

yeah obviously defence will do well during war
Not necessarily, who knows what contracts what companies will get; Furthermore you cannot anticipate the length of this war, it might be over in a week (probably) and therefore no massive contracts like with the war in Afghanistan. Besides tailwind I wouldn't expect a massive jump in i.e. Lockheed or Boeing. I would, however look into oil and natural gas. If US gains controlling interest in Iran's oil reserves and other natural resources you could be looking at a steady growth for the duration of our "occupation".

Conversely, countries might look at the US growing interest in natural resources (Venezuela, Greenland, Iran) and say fuck you, we're not using the US dollar to trade oil anymore (the US dollar is used almost exclusively for major oil sales), thus fucking both the price of oil and the value of the US dollar.
