A study published in the Journal of the Egyptian National Cancer Institute reported that skin cancer represented 5% of all malignant tumors in Egypt. Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) was the most common, followed by squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) and melanoma. The study highlighted that the face was the most common site for BCCs, while SCCs were found on the face and extremities, and melanomas on the face and lower limbs. The mean ages for these cancers were 66 for BCC, 60 for SCC, and 54 for melanoma .
