This guy named Roque, a short MTN...
...was in love with this chick, Julia Medina:
But she only saw him as a friend. The guy she really liked was the taller pretty boy named Ivan:
Roque, for being short and MTN, was never really a valued character in the show compared to the taller and better looking guys.
Take this guy, for example, named Marcos, another one of the main protagonists of the show:
There was an episode where Marcos punched Roque in the face after his little sister was gone when she was under his responsibility, but when something similar happened and Ivan was the one to blame, he acted in a much less angry way, meaning: the good looking guy is easily forgiven, while the short mtn guy should be punched.
Later on the show Roque was threatened by a teacher and he ended up being responsible for this girls's death, Carolina (another one of the main lead cast):
When the characters discovered that Roque was to blame for Carolina's death, they all got angry and cut relations with him, including Julia (and he was always by her side, he even said it to her). Ivan, his friend since they were kids, said that he should kill himself.
I finished this show some years ago and I never felt so bad for a character. Looking at the positive side, at least the show was realistic for making excuses for the chads and demonizing the short/weak mtn fella.
