Sometimes I wonder if I don't have enough empathy for criminals. (I don't have any for criminals)

Norway has more empathetic prisons that focus on rehabilitation. Their reoffender rate is 18% within two years of release, with a recidivism rate of 25% after five years.

If that only works in norwegian culture, I don't know. But it would be nice for first time offenders who have a high chance of being able to be rehabilitated.

It would be cool if we used statistics and trial and error to determine who can be peacefully rehabilitated.

If they hurt any of the clients, then punishments are in this order each time they hurt a client:

1. One Eye ball scooped out no anestetics.
2. The next ones are fingers cut off until they have no more fingers.
3. Then the tongue cut out.
4. Then all of the teeth bashed out.
5. Then other eye cut out
6. Then they are sold to the rival gang.

I watched a video of Eastern European prisons and the first thing I noticed is that the prisoners were so much better behaved and civilized.
