I've recently completed a water fast ( I supplemented with electrolyte powder) of 7 days.

I'm going to now do a 21 day water fast of the same nature because I benefited from the 7 day one.

Has anyone here done one for 3 weeks or longer?

What were your results?

I got this one from Amazon.

It has really good ratios. ( There are others that will work for you. Before this one I tried 2 others that I really enjoyed - they ended up discontinuing them though so I use this)

I find that past day 3 I need 1-2 scoops everyday. You'll need to experiment to see how much works well for you.

You don't wanna have too many electrolytes nor too few. Both will cause you problems. So start with a little and increase as needed ( depending on how you're feeling)

I just looked and it seems like they took this one down too for now.

I'll look for an alternative for when my supply finishes and I'll update the thread.

How do you combat hunger?

How do you combat hunger?
Hunger comes in waves so when you do feel hungry just bear through it and it'll go away.

Once you're past the first few days though.... you don't feel hungry anymore ( so long as your electrolyte/water ratio is balanced).

I do get a certain feeling though..

I find that feeling to just be craving rather than hunger.

Do other things ^^

I know it's a generic answer but there isn't all that much I can say.

I rested... drank sparkling water... black coffee... and other activities until the 'hunger' passed.

( I'm out right now.. I'll go into more detail when I get home)

Why fast that long, are you obese or something

what were the benefits after 7 days?
Mainly fat loss and no brain fog.

My mind was lightning quick - it felt almost indescribable.

I'll update the response soon ^

I'm around 25 pounds overweight.

I lost 10 pounds during those 7 days.

4 pounds came back ( water weight) so I lost 6 pounds of fat.

The benefits of a prolonged fast ( so long as you have enough fat to supply it) increases the longer you're in it. That's why I'm doing a 21 day fast now.

Even more fat loss and the other benefits ^^

Prolonged fasting should really only be done if you have enough fat to burn... if you're already 10% body fat or around that... doing anything longer than 3-5 days I wouldn't recommend.

You'll start burning muscle.

But if you have the fat stores for it like I do then go for it.

I’m gonna try for 3 days and see what happens

u think i can do it without electrolytes?
Depends on how long - under 3 days and you should be fine.

Anything over that? You're risking death.

Not having electrolytes isn't necessarily the problem. Its that water can only be used by our bodies if it's attached to electrolytes.

Lots of electrolytes + no water = death.

Lots of water + no electrolytes = death.

It's a fine balance. I'd be careful.

Just stay safe and take the electrolytes.

The reason why I say 'under 3 days and you should be fine' is because you already have some electrolytes in your body for those first few days. But they get flushed out rapidly - that's why you need to supplement.

Normally you wouldn't have to think about this because you'd get your electrolytes from food.

When you're fasting though, you're obviously not eating so the only way to get the electrolytes without breaking the fast is by supplementing with powders, etc...

so theoretically
no electrolytes + no water = ascension???

I'm not experienced with dry fasting past the 16 hours I do for Ramadan lol

But there is merit in this.

The creator of the Snake Diet says to do this since your body will 'make' water from your fat stores. Idk how this works so I can't say.

You can search him up on YouTube if you're interested.

I think Dr. Eric Berg also has some dry fasting videos you can take a look at.

Yeah but only trace amounts.

That's gonna spike your insulin because of the other stuff in there though.

Stay away from it on a fast.

Even things that are 'zero-calorie' can break your fast ( you're not just fasting from calories but also anything that can spike insulin... which will pull you out of a fasted state)

What was your goal? Getting lean?
I did a regular water fast for like a month because i was fat as fuck.

Yeah. Exactly that - getting lean.

Prolonged fasting = ultimate cutting tool.

That's sick bro! Could you elaborate on your experience? How much weight you lost... what you did?

I'm thinking about creating a separate post documenting how I'm feeling every day of the fast until completion.

A log of what I'm experiencing ^^

they're absolute mandatory my friend. High chance of death the longer you're into a fast without electrolytes. Electrolytes and water balance is a life or death discussion.

Cope nigga you can't die water fasting
if you are obese u can fast for a month and still be fine
