I have both and I prefer elite. Both are as wide as an ocean but as shallow as a puddle tbh. Elite is less expensive and has WAYY better hotas support. VR support is pretty equal in both.

What VR headset do you recommend?

I bought mine years ago so I don't know much about current vr headsets. If you have loads of money I'd recommend an Index, but if not then go for something cheaper and see if you even like VR. Something in the $350-$450 range.
