As a person, I realize that I have some deficiencies or "insecurities" in the areas of expression and body language. By that, I mean everything related to how we convey ourselves to the world.

I think I don’t fully understand what it means to behave appropriately or what an individual who does so looks like, aside from what I’ve seen in movies or the rare cases of people who manage to express their character with zero insecurities. It is in those moments that you can truly grasp the difference it makes. It is then that you understand how much progress there is to be made.

Therefore, I would like to discuss the best qualities to develop through the simple improvement of aspects such as body language, diction, and psycholinguistics.

I would also like to explore other areas we should improve, what elements exist, and what types of courses or resources we can study independently (although I find it challenging to do so, at least initially) to enhance our skills in this regard.

ps: which other threads discuss about related things here?

This is a great thread, because true authenticity, one that you are fully comfortable with, is not only optimal but necessary for great mental health (and likely, physical health aswell)

It's an universally hard task to execute, especially in individuals who have deep rooted issues regarding it and despite their best efforts they have an inclination to fall back into old self-destructive patterns/behaviors despite knowing better

In my opinion, cognitive behavioral therapy is half the piece of the puzzle, I used to think of it as bullshit, however combine that with certain compounds that promote increased suggestibility (I guess the usage of the word neurogenesis could be appropriate here) has an extremely impactful effect on anxiety-related behavior

To name a few specifically, I have been experimenting with peptides Semax and Selank (and will continue to do so with other compounds with similar/related mechanisms) (I'd add psychedelics to this list too, but those are not the substances you can take WHILE taking on your social-related fears)

They are different than other drugs in the sense that other drugs you usually think of, when dealing with such issues (benzos, stimulants, whatever come to mind) they numb your emotions and despite achieving success "on paper", you never actually face your fears because you achieved them in a non-authentic state of mind

Semax and Selank doesn't remove the anxiety at all, rather, they remove the extremely stubborn pessimistic mental block, and thus I am happy to give whatever is on my mind a shot, without my brain giving me the usual negative self-talk that previously prevented me from doing so
