We all know about close set eyes but wide set eyes are just as hideous and ruin harmony/attractiveness.
This is model Romee Strijd
Even though she is still overall good looking her eyes are just too far apart and ruin facial harmony. And they are not even by a big amount, the ES ratio in this picture comes out at 0,485 but it is enough to look like
That is how brutal a difference of ~2-3mm is
Now Taylor Hill for comparison because her face shape is somewhat similar to her except her eyes are not as far apart (0,455).
There is nothing off about her eyes they just look like they are perfectly spaced. Some might say they are slightly too close but this is preferable to the wide set dolphin ones above. Nearly all very attractive people have ES ratios of 0,45-0,46 even though these vary from 0,40 to 0,52 in the general population that is how important it is. Minimal deviation from this ideal makes an insane difference. I found that in general slightly lower tends to look more attractive than slightly higher though. Pulling off a higher ES ratio requires an above average PFL and even then it is usually inferior to the perfect 0,46 which can work with various PFLs. Wide set eyes and high ES ratios are a massive cope, yes 0,42 is bad and 0,45-0,46 is the ideal but any higher than 0,47 and it instantly starts looking weird.
Some more examples of attractive people with harmonic eyes who almost exclusively have 0,46 ES ratios.
Lachowski 0,46
Pitt 0,46 even though people on here say his IPD/ES is shit his eyes are in fact perfectly spaced for his face
Hexum 0,46
Cavill surprise it is 0,46
Some female examples
Lima 0,47 here but also close shot and very wide PFL to offset
Doutzen Kroes 0,46
0,46 being the ideal ES ratio is not new news but people on here do not understand just how important it is. It is the most important ratio by far and minimal deviation from it ruins your harmony like no other suboptimal ratio would. You find someone extremely attractive chances are they have an ES ratio of exactly or very (and I mean off by 0,01) close to 0,46. Go check for yourselves. There may be a few exceptions but this is the most consistent ratio in attractive people. Other ratios may vary by 10-20% even but not this one. When checking other people’s ES ratio you need to account for lens distortion in selfies etc. Selfies usually add around 0,02 to your actual ES ratio so that needs to be subtracted.
0,46 ES = Biggest harmony boost
