You lose facial fat volume as you get older, even if your overall BF stays mostly the same since it's your body that's a better indicator of BF, since, well, it has way more fat than your face.

His mandible got larger as he aged (post puberty). Wonder how that happened.

Also he's really bloated in the first pic in comparison to the second. Probably anywhere from 17-20 in the first pic with more water retention than the second.
