Even if you have an IQ of 200 and the greatest idea ever it's still largely just dumb luck if you will become successful or not because virutally all the factors for success have to line up perfectly. For example consider timing. You could start work on your perfect idea only to then find out that somebody else had that same exact idea but came up with it just slightly sooner than you did thus giving them all the fame while you get nothing simply because of a slight timing issue you had no control over.
