I always thought it was just different groups of people who would try to get more popular than one another. There is always phases of users or at least groups of users who are the main focus of light on the forum.

Idk if I’d go as far as saying that, however yeah most people overestimate how many people remember them or the impact they’re leaving

For example random greys will make follow up threads to stuff yet not a single person remembers their name let alone memorised the topic of the thread they made 2 days ago
