I'm finding I've reached the end of the novelty of the internet.

It's mostly repetitive anyways. The same stories, the same ideas, the same takes, over and over again.

The same goes for books and movies.

There just aren't that many interesting or useful ideas out there, and it get's harder and harder to find them because all of the low hanging fruit has been picked.

But because occasionally, there's some splash of novelty, I have been conditioned through intermittent reward theory to be addicted to the internet, hoping for something novel, like finding out about the drown swarm over the U.S.

I don't know if I can break my addiction, but it's certainly not worth rotting anywhere. It's better to focus your attention on your goals.
