Yeah if genio is stage one this implies stage two would just be implants. You almost always want to do actual jaw surgery before a genioplasty, or alongside it.

Eppley or implants in general should only be sought if you’ve already addressed all structural problems to you face, that can and should be addressed through osteotomies like double jaw surgery.

My guess is that the patient is apprehensive about having bimax done because it has such a brutal reputation, difficult recovery period and the risks sound scary. Sliding genio probably sounds way easier to him in comparison. Plus, he could still have bimax done after this sliding genio, I don’t see why doing these in any particular order is essential.

It’s not that it’s essential to do bimax first, it’s that if you do genio first, it’s indicitative you probably won’t get bimax in the future, and thus, as far as dramatic looksmaxing goes, your endeavors will likely fall flat/leave a lot to be desired.

The only implant that reasonable to get is for your zygos, and I would only prefer using PEEK for that imo.
