No, no one will support his policies. He'll also have to worry about the west trying to assasinate him if he does succeed in becoming dictator.
Build nukes and threaten to use them or get them from China or Russia in exchange for influence. Or he could make a deal with China/Russia if the U.S dared to interfere, they'd use nukes on NYC, or something like that.
