Hello, today I felt the need to make a thread about how everyone's journey will be different while looksmaxxing, because.I've received so many texts from people on .org ,even my friends irl ask me how to look like David Laid or Alex Eubanks,I want to enlighten people about the pros of having realistic goals and the cons of comparing yourself or having unrealistic goals.
Thank you for reading this quick thread I hope it helped some of you feel better about yourselves and taught you to set realistic goals.
Humans have been comparing themselves ever since the start of mankind, but in the last 20 years.Something happened,Social Media allowed anyone to post their achievements, how lean they are,how many girls they're sleeping with,etc..and they don't even have to show proof.
So,when your average dude just got back home from school or work and sees this dude "Fake" lifestyle's,his brain is going to release dopamine because he sees someone "higher" than him in the hierarchy and since the influencer is lying about his natural physique, how many girls he sleeps with, his dubai trip, his cars,etc..The average dude thinks to himself "If he can do it,why can't I?"

Comparison,before any kind of media like movies,tv shows,social media,etc..
Used to be actually good for you, because you see who stands higher than you in a hierarchy of a tribe of like 50 to 100 people that we're transparent, natural and achieving they're level was possible if you had decent genes.
But now,the hierarchy holds over a million people and the algorythm only shows you who's "superior" to you, even tho they are on steroids, are using perfect lighting, got a crazy pump five minutes ago,and also photoshopped it.Your brain tho, doesn't know that, and here starts envy, hate or even depression because you'll never look like them no matter how hard you try,but you still push yourself harder everyday to hide the pain.

No matter how much you cope,no matter how much Test or HGH you take, your genes will always be what holds you back, you can improve some stuff, but you can't modify DNA. So you have to learn to not beat yourself up about it because it's not even your fault.
Acknowledging it first, then accepting it is the method that hurts the least.
Acknowledging it first, then accepting it is the method that hurts the least.
1.You HAVE to know what your working with
,for example.
Imagine Josh,he's LTN and has shit SMV because he's fat,has bad skin, and smells like shit, but under that fat.Josh doesn't know that he has HTN bones, and under that acne,Josh doesn't know that he has smooth clear skin,etc..
He only has to lose weight, gain muscle, and fix diet and do skincare.
Now,Imagine tyler,he's skinny,has decent skin,has a elongated face and a greek nose.
He pretty much can't do anything for his looks other than surgery.
If you were Tyler, would it be realistic or smart for you to compare your current self to Josh's ascension?Fuck no.
Know your blueprint, then you can start working.
2.Write down clearly, what you have to do.
I don't wanna see some bullshit like "muh wanna look like david laid
",you'll never look like him. Here are some good examples of well written, realistic goals.
-Reach 12% BF by Summer 2026
-Get smoother skin by March 2026
-Try a new haircut when I have longer hair
-Dress differently when I can afford it
-Invest in cologne when I can afford it
See?I write the goal, and add a realistic timeline.
3.It will take time.
No matter how intense it is,it will take time.
It might be years, months,or even decades for some.
If you are an impatient person, you might think rushing is a good alternative and I understand why it seems like one.
The truth is tho, that if you rush it you will just be left with an unfinished final-product.
No need to beat yourself up because your friend did it in 4 months while it took you 8.
Over time, doing small things like eating right, training right, sleeping 8 hours,etc.. will pile up into your final-product.
4.Compare your today to your past, not someone else's today.
You can use old pictures of yourself to see how far you got.You can check the scale to see if it went up or down, you can check your new wardrobe and compare it to your old one.
But you should never, and I mean NEVER compare yourself to someone else.
The only competition in this new age is yourself, everyone else is too fake to be good comparison.

Failing is human afterall, everyone has fucked up once or twice. It is human nature,no one can be perfect no matter how hard they try.Which is why skipping a day of gym, skipping a day of skincare or even having a small cheatmeal isn't gonna ruin your life. It's actually gonna help you,a little break can help you come back more productive,etc..
If you fail and give up,you are the problem.
If you fail, analyze why you fail, and try to not make the same mistake, you are doing great and you will reach your goals as long as they are realistically set.
