Sorry niggaDo NOT call me "nigga"
I'm a 20 year old white man and I absolutely loathe when people call me their "nigga" or say "hey nigga" to me. I live in a rural area so it's usually a white person doing it (and they're typically racist in other contexts). If a black person says it to me, it makes me uncomfortable, but it's not my place to say whether or not black people can or can't say the N word, so I don't really care.
BUT IF YOU ARE WHITE, DO NOT CALL ME, ANOTHER WHITE PERSON, THE N WORD.
Why in the world anyone would ever think throwing around that word like it's synonymous for "buddy" or "pal" in public is okay is beyond me.
I have cousins who greet me like this. I once walked into the house and immediately "hey nigga". I just stopped, stared at her and said "stop saying that". Not even my POC friends greet me like that and I know that some people's friends greet them like that or "my black friend let's me say it and he doesn't care", but why is this word so casually tossed into a conversation?
You wouldn't walk up to a friend or acquaintance and say "hey bitch" or "hey shithead" if you didn't already have an established relationship where that was okay and I'm obviously not okay with being called that.
