Some people aren't meant to live a life in dignity. I may be successful for a day or two but I'm always gonna return to my set point, no matter how hard I try. I've always known this.
Why is the concept of predeterminism so hard to accept for people, especially parents and boomers? Born a failure, always a failure. No amount of hard work can change the set point, at least not permanently.
