Any of you used it? Got some experience with it? I have some shitty body acne that never goes away, so annoying. Cutting the carbs helped it become less inflamed, but it's still there.

I'm quite hygienic, so it's not a hygiene issue.

It will cost a lot of money to go privately and then I will have to pay for the drug, but if I want it for free, I'll have to wait 5 months in queue :ogre:

Going plant-based helped people with acne. Never tried accutane since I never had any.

I had my back covered in acne, I had to take accutane for like 8 months + until it cleared completely.

Get on it ASAP, it is a wonderdrug. If you happen to get bad side effects just do low dose (you can do even one pill every few days).

If you have only body acne then low dose course is the way to go tbh

Been off it for a year now and NEVER get pimples anymore. Used to get bad cystic. Didnt have any sides apart from stiff lower back which I still have. Worth it though for sure.

I did a plant based diet for 6 weeks, only made it worse.

I get them on my back and I also get a few on my arms for some reason, really annoying. I'll definitely get on it asap.

Yes, in most cases diet is cope regarding acne.

I strongly suggest low dose course then. You can determine the length of you course by doing it until completely clear + 2months. Do blood tests every few months while on accutane and you should be safe. Good luck boyo

I used it Freshman year of high school. Your skin boils as soon as it touches sunlight and is permadry. You will be an ashy mess for as long as you're on it... I haven't ever had bad acne since. Definitely worth it

I took 20mg/day for 12 months and have 6 months to go.
Side effects are minimal at that dosage.
From most noticeable to least noticeable:
Dry lips
Dry skin
Tiredness
Back pain
Lack of appetite

Where is the acne?
Could be sensitive to something you're wearing

Yes, 20mg/day is pretty much the sweet spot for guys around 170-180lbs of weight

10mg/day is perfectly fine if the acne isn't severe. I was on 10mg the first month but had to go on 20mg because my acne was way too severe.

Definitely give it a shot..

Acne now is scaring your skin. I still have some mild scarring on my face which really pisses me off

Accutane is the only thing that helps, nothing else helps. I mean nothing. ONLY accutane works. Do it

35mg/day is not much lmao, most I did was like 80mg/day @ 185 lbs (still without serious side effects tho, but I was dry as hell)
Now popping 20mg/day sometimes less @ 170lbs and it's legit as hell for prolonged maintenance

Lucky for you, it sounds like extremely low cumulative dose. Guess it works differently for everyone

I may try some dry fasting at some point, apparently it's quite good at killing off bad stuff in your body, as you are depriving it of water.

Probably cope, but it's good to try everything else before accutane tbh. It may be wonderdrug, but better to use it as a last resort

Shit bro, 80mg/day must be a nightmare. For me it was ok, a bit annoying during the first weeks but after that I just got used to the dry skin/lips. No other side effect.

It wasn't that bad tbh, but looking back at it, low dose course makes so much more sense. I've even read some recent academic paper, which shows that the duration of oil glands suppression (overall length of course) is more important than cumulative dose

It cleared my skin but fucked with me mentally a lot. Uncontrollable emotion at 60mg per day. It's harsh. Last resort option for anyone with severe acne. (In my opinion)

Your experience might be better or worse. But the emotional sides and cracked lips suck. My lips would crack when I talked and bleed. Eating hard toast and foods with salt was really annoying. Was on it for about 4-5 months.

Acne is a persistent bitch and for some people won't go away no matter what you try - bar accutane. I'd recommend a low dose, higher doses just cause unnecessary side effects (e.g., it will fuck you mentally). Most people will only experience dry lips (just use lip balm frequently) and dry skin (just moisturize). I was on 20mg for a year, literally all acne disappeared within the first few weeks and didn't come back. Would recommend

Try cutting cow milk/diary first though, that can clear it up for a lot of people. Tbh it's the only non-drug acne prevention that isn't complete cope

You need to do EVERYTHING that can get rid of acne vulgaris and you'll most likely get rid of it. Accutane should be used on acne conglobata (cystic)

You should go to the doctor

I took two pills a day one in the morning one at night. Not sure how large they were but they were pretty small. Never self-dose acutane always see a dermatologist. There are a ton of side effects. You're not supposed to take heavy doses it can cause baldness if you overdo it

Two pills? Must have been at least 40 mg that you took.

I took 2 courses of accutane in the past. First course was very low dose (10 mg daily) and the second course was 30 mg daily for 5 months and 60 mg for two months afterwards.

How does it cause baldness?

I took the same dosage for about 7 months it worked wonders. It was definitely no more than 30mg
