so the coloured people of south africa or in modern anticolonialist terms 'camissa people' are of multiple races

the most dominant race(indegenous)second most(african and asian slaves brought in from the VOC)third most(cape free blacks/ mardijkers)fourth most(non conforming europeans)fifth most(orlam / khoe revivalism)sixth most(exiled and convicted asians)seven most(minor indentures and migrants)
Importantly, the San people of the Cape in my respective bc im native thereafrica and Madagascar from what I've read around the same range of roots as the enslavedeuropeans who decided to take bic(big indegenous cock) or just raped the women(mostly)this was a type of return to antiquity, the already mixed slaves wanted a return to their roots? and decided to integrate with their former ancestors as resistencethis group along with the 7th most dominant isnt as important bc it isnt seen much from mere appearence the most modern part bc of it being migrants from other countries
i dont really have that much care for the others maybe some south africans here who are more north eastern would care moreindia, sri lanka, bengal noted but i personally show no signs of this origin, the closest to jeet from me is maybe my hair type(curly-wavy)merdijkers majoraly, free blacks of different variation from what they call themselvesmainly origin of dutch, french, german, portuguese, scottish and irish
perhaps english too
mainly orlam witboois, afrikaners and springboksindonesian, yemen, makkah, iraqi, chinese and relocators are shown here, but i now that i think about it, i have seem some arab looking people here...saints, turks, zanzibars and british people fit here
note-theres over 42 indegenous people from south africa, in teh capes instance its mostly san and khoi, mostly khoi southeast asian, being the lowest amount of integratino/mixinggriqua and korana origin, along with clans like de buys clan
from what i read alot of rebel europeans and khoe regugees fit in here as 5th and 4th dominant are intertwined

Context for all this
tbh i can just start and end this section with slavery but i can add more then that, the cape for the dutch was not the first place they wanted to dominate, they had experience in places like madagascar and angola before, all failed poorly imo tho, but with the cape they tried a new strategy and made it work, theyre tactics from the surface is to divide the comunity and conquer, then enslave the people for their own benefit, one of the many cruelties of the VOC
in the beggining slavery was a way to simplify the task of the dutch to take of the cape, like when they arrived in 1652 they needed to handle the native population so they arent a threat to them building settlements to establish themselves

but infact they didnt enslave the natives, they instead acted out manipulation tactics and division to subjugate them, and in the end they still achieved a form of slavery through this, bc of forced aprentinceship, basically labour with no compensation

The dutch put emphasis on having their different types of slaves being divided and ruled, they stripped slaves of their children right after birth to not form identity or landness with other of the like, they removed people from the boats as slaved of their lands possesions, and stripping these slaves of dignity bc they couldnt wear european clothes or say normal pronouns just "master" and "madam"

The most dominant

this is a thread on its own, the khoe and san people and their many settlements, what u the reader has to know is that the khoe was more dominant then the san bc of their hunter-gatherer-like beastliness, which is similar to what the barbarians was in northern europe before being civilised by the romans

also a extra note is that san and khoe arent the only ones, theres like 42 other ethnicities but arent in the cape so im not worried about them

the second most dominant
in the first six years after the settlement in table bay, the dutch had a arriving of 11 slaves with them, 8 of those slaves were women and children(1 Madagascarean, 2 abyssinian, the rest indian/bengali)

there was a dramatic shift in slave numbers during 1658 when the VOC captured a portuguese slave ship and seized half their shit, 500 slaves, in the same year later, a VOC slave ship arrived with 271 enslavees from guinea
imo these first 2 ships are already apart of every coloured person in south africa
now a part of this category is also southeast asia as in the malay and indonesian parts, for the most its just indonesian parts

mardijkers/vrij swarten(third most dominant)
labeld the title of this part mardijkers bc its mostly about them, mardijkers being the borrowed term from a variation of the sanskrit term maharddhika->merdeka ->mardijker, the term means ' rich prosperous and powerful' in its originial sense, it was later used by the dutch to coin asian hired soldiers

interessting thing about the mardijkers is that they were axually the first migrants of colour brought to the cape after 1652

the original mardijkers were southeast asian catholic converts

now onto the other part, the free blacks was the term used by the VOC to give name to the people of colour who voluntarily came to the cape as soldiers, sailors and traders, including former enslaveds, there was a jump in free blacks from 1770 to 1795 going from a few to 1,7k of them,

most of how free blacks are integrated is likely through natural intercourse with the natives and whatnot, i couldnt find much info on this

fourth most dominant
This is just europeans who chose to erase the lines of colonialism and joined in a common cause with people of colour, not as owners but as husbands and wives of a person of colour, not alot to note on this, but this phenomena was popular during the 18th century, i have a literal pic of my great grandpa and he has blue eyes and typical high t european

fifth most dominant
a 19th century phenomenon, this is prob not prevalent ot me bc they were all people of the previous types who didnt want to work for the dutch, they trekked to the gariep region and formed a strong identity, but bc of the incoming of white people bc of the gold in those regions they made another trek into namibia, where they founded the city windhoek and imo left more influence on namibia then the khoe people in their own country, unfortunetely i dont think im mixed witih their aristocratic spirit, i think their more felt in northeastern regions of the country and not the cape

Sixth most dominant
these were asians who were banished from their old voc areas to the cape of good hope, the main resistors of the dutch were the javanese and indonesian muslims, indian resistors and chinese resistors from batavia

just another ingrediant into the pot as i see it

Seventh most dominant
prob the least amount of blood from them so its short, migrations of the xhosa to the western cape, along with other bantu tribes, indentured peoples of india came to the cape to work in the 19th century

End of the thread
there are many more ethnicities i didnt name who came here, the saints of st helena sending chinese people to the cape, masbiekers who were somali and or kenyan, the 'prize slaves' , the filipinos who fled from manila to kalk bay and cape town and lastly germans who migrated after ww2

last words, never trust a dutchman
