Extremely afraid of hairloss from minoxidil in beard

I’m 25 yo ans only have some beard growth on my chin. Nothing else really. I tried minoxidil for 3 weeks on my beard, no real results now but I feel like I have some scalp hair shedding. And on reddit there are many horror stories where they say that the shedding never stops and they got much thinner head hair. Now I’m really panicking and want to quit minox…
What do u guys thimk about this?

I was very optimistic first but so many on reddit said they had insane thinning and it barely recovered after using it for beard.
And I really lost much more hair last couple of days.

I would really want a goatee to hide my philtrum. I would be very good looking then I think

Redditors have a combined IQ of 40 u probably shouldn't listen to anything they have to say.

The only way shedding on ur head is possible is if enough of ur minoxidil is going systemic and unless ur drinking the minoxidil that's never gonna happen, but assuming that were to happen ur hair would grow back thicker after a shed from minoxidil. And stopping minoxidil would bring ur hair back to what it was before you started it

As mentioned, you will be fine, shedding can be expected because the telogen phase is accelerated when you begin minoxidil.
The telogen phase is two to three months long, so it’s normal.
Stop worrying.
