People say beauty is in the eye of the beholder as a way they think they are coping for something that isn't. However, it is somewhat true in the sense that people have preferences. My sister, for example finds even "prime" Jude Law repulsive, and not in any way attractive to her. She likes Henry Cavill and Harrison Ford (prime). And I know women I find attractive who other men think are ugly and I don't know but if beauty were entirely objective and not at all subjective, then scenarios like these would never happen.

Woman will sometimes see htn as chad and chad as htn.
A woman will rarely see a mtn as chad and will rarely see a chad as mtn

I don't know how this works. And I know these are anectdotes, but I have heard women find Krispin Glover attractive and other unconventionally looking men attractive. So the "Chad" vs Un-Chad paradigm is not universal.
