Eyebrow & Eyelash Maxxing Guide
The first step in eyebrow maxxing is figuring out the best shape for your face. Stand in front of a mirror and look at your brow bone structure. If your forehead is tall or your eyes are close to the brow bone, a straighter brow will keep your face looking balanced and youthful. If your brow bone is medium or prominent, adding a soft arch can open up your gaze and make the eyes appear more alert. Avoid overly high, sharp arches unless your brows sit very low these can make you look older or constantly surprised.
Once the shape is decided, the next priority is density. If your brows are thin or patchy, start applying 5% minoxidil foam to the brows once daily. This is the most effective way to regrow hair, and you should start seeing results in 8β12 weeks. For maintenance and hair health, apply a thin layer of castor oil at night after the minoxidil has dried. If you have little to no brow growth even after months of treatment, consider microblading or brow micropigmentation for a semi-permanent fill.
After density comes grooming. Trim any excessively long hairs with brow scissors and a spoolie, but never over-pluck. Remove only the stray hairs that clearly fall outside your natural shape. Keep the underside of the brow clean, but avoid thinning the top line too much. Thick, clean brows give the strongest frame to the eyes.
For eyelashes, the process starts with growth. The most effective product is bimatoprost (sold as Latisse in some countries), applied daily along the upper lash line. It lengthens, thickens, and darkens lashes over 2β3 months. If thatβs not available, look for a peptide-based lash serum. Castor oil can be used for a more budget-friendly but slower improvement. Apply these consistently, avoiding the inner eye to prevent irritation.
Once you have growth, work on curl. Curling your lashes instantly makes the eyes look more open. Use a high-quality eyelash curler, and for better results, briefly heat it with a blow dryer before curling just test the temperature first to avoid burns. If you want a longer lasting result, get a lash lift at a salon, which keeps lashes curled for 6β8 weeks without daily effort.
