In my city it is not uncommon to see guys with gl faces but they almost never have good height, most don't even reach 5'10 - 6ft

I used to think so too but I realized that unless you are deformed, more height is always better up to like 6'7. It just gets less comfortable, like you might bump your head more and fit into less spaces, but socially there is rarely such a thing as too much height

A legit 6'2 unfrauded is enough for halo unless you're in tall european countries IMO. Most people who claim 6'2 are actually 6'0-6'1 in my experience as a legit 6'2 guy.
