I got a facepuller to push my upper jaw forward and I can feel a lot of force on my chin. Is it possible that it will push back my chin a little?
Delaire protraction facemask

This is the face mask btw

No, but it probably blocks forward movement.

It prevents the mandible to move with the maxilla, if your bite is Class I you should not use this.

Also you are pulling on what ? Your teeth ?

My bite is class III (but not an extreme case), I only need like 1.5mm more protrusion of the upper maxilla to have a normal bite, and yeah pulling on teeth

You will move your alveolar ridge forward, not your maxilla

get the one @CopeAndRope made

Starting to doubt this one will cause any displacement, we need to disrupt the sutures.

Why tho

it is mewing but just harder and constant

And have you already seen any proven results even from hardmewing ?
Only started a couple weeks ago

i have top tier bones and harmony just that
I’m. Fat

have kinda bad skin

amd one side of my face is less developed

therefore I’m not going against my genrtics

just fixing slight assymetry

mainly cheekbones size

and my maxilla basically

im not a 2 psl truecel coping with mewing

I hope you will get results and you will be able to prove it, but I strongly doubt it.

Whatever, I just hope it won't do much and the orthodontist will drop the treatment, I've had palate expander, braces etc. and none if it made me look a lot better, my problem is my upper maxilla that is receded as fuck and that's only fixable with surgery, I posted an xray in my other thread

flawed design. Especially if you have an existing overbite. If you have an underbite I suppose it would be great

I have a slight underbite on one side of my face (my jaw is uneven)
This might be because of your teeth, I am sure this will help though. What did your dr attach the rubber bands too?

Metal ring with a hook around the front premolar on both sides where you hook the rubber band into

OP has class 3 bite (underbite). This is exactly the facepuller he needs to be using right now

Pretty sure cope has a better facepuller thing to wrap around your neck

its prob better to buy from a legit orthodontic center than build it urself tho

You can order this shit from amazon for less than 10 dollars, I mean yeah it's better to get it done by an ortho but idk what should go wrong. You should aim for long expansion so it shouldn't be hard to notice wether things are getting off road

that is not a facepuller but a FACEMASK
the facepuller pulls both the mandible and the maxilla forward, while the facemask only pulls the maxilla forward while the mandible gets pushed back.
this is why the facemask is used to fix underbite
