Facial hair makes your eyes look better?

People here say that Cavill’s eye area isn’t that good but when he has facial hair, especially around the moustache and chin area, his eyes look better/prettier.

Noticed this on other guys too and also me, does anyone know the reason behind this?

I've made the same observation.

I think a beard can harmonize well with the eyebrows in some cases.

If you have weak chin or jawline, then having facial hair can hide that weakness and accentuate the shape of the jaw 'better'.

Nah, a beard actually draws away attention from the lower third and highlights other features.
