There seems to be the myth that the more compact the midface is, the better. However Id argue that a compact midface makes someone look like a child and less masc.

I found some examples on instagram of this one guy:

This is the guy:



He is not ugly by any means, but his midface is VERY compact and makes him look like a 10 yo or something like that. Compare the picture with the 3 dudes- only the guy on the left looks like an adult, while the other 2 dudes with comically compact midface look like children.

With less compact midface, he would look more like a slayer Chad. Right now he looks like a Chadlite with boy-ish midface proportions. Even his gf/wife has a less compact midface and looks more like an adult compared to him.

So much about the myth of "MUH compact midface is chadlike...".

You cant be a slayer Chad with compact midface, it just doesnt work.

True also Kerr has vertically short midface, but rather wide IPD, which doesnt harmonise too well. With large IPD the midface should be normal or long-ish. If its compact and vertically short, it doesnt look good with wide IPD.

First of all, this guy is not a Chadlite.

Second, a compact mixed-race is good, but can become a failo if you have a short nose and long philtrum.

Shirt philtrum + regular/longish nose with a compact mid face is the ideal.

if you have weak chin/lower third or protuberant lower lips with even just a bit of long midface it will look horrible as if you had horse face, but if your face had the harmony it will look completely normal and fine

To a degree it really is. Most MM indeed have slightly long-ish midface tbh. Compact looks good up to a certain age, but when youre an adult with a very compact midface, it looks strange to say the least.

True. Tall skulls are ideal tbh, a shorter midface will make your entire face shorter which will make it look rounder and more neotenous. Therefore I also believe shorter midfaces should be accompanied by taller lower third to balance things out and to look more dimorphic.

That is a bad argument imo, ambrosio is just not that harmonious. Russians have longer midfaces and are more feminine looking. Compact face is a masculine trait.

He has slighty below 1.0 MFR so it's not very compact and slightly below what's considered ideal, you can tell his midface is longer than the very compact examples that has been provided. But yeah it's good considering his height

Efron and Walker's midface appears rather compact yes, but thats why they also look kinda soft / harmless. Efron with his 170cm height (or so) does come off as a harmless, soft guy with his compact midface. Like a child almost.

Do you know who this guy is?

I find that he has insane sexappeal, even though he is a bit older, Idk how old he is, but this is actually the type of guy who even prime age 20 yo foids would find attractive and hella sexy. Also his rather "not so compact" midface makes him look like a high class slayer chad in his late 30s/early 40s?

I gotta say that I truly prefer rather more spread out midface and slightly above average IPD, I think both men and women look better this way (nohomo).

Again, more compact midface than average does have its appeal in a certain way- it can give women that cute and adorable doll-like look (like a barbie doll), but in my book slightly more spread out midface than average looks better than slightly more compact than average. Or at least having "normal" midface is more aesthetic imo than more compact than normal.


Lima has slightly less compact midface than Kroes and Robbie and mogs them both imo.

To be fair, Kroes does literally look like a barbie doll with her compact midface, small face and nose, it looks very youthfull- it does have its advantages ngl. However less compact midfaced lima looks more high class and aesthetic.
