Fasting at 18?

Definitely a late bloomer (cope) and want to start fasting for body fat etc
Not fat by any means but from looksmax standards I could definitely decrease my bodyfat

I think fasting amongst working out and eating healthy is a good way of doing this, but I am scared of fasting because I feel like I need to eat a lot to maximise my growth

What do you suggest? Would it matter? Would I just eat the necessary amounts in my eating window so I will get everything I need?

Just increase your energy output this will yield a better result hormones wise, eg be active.

True but I already do this
But maybe fasting would help even more; I have really shitty fat distribution genetics (face fat last to go etc) so I wanna do everything I can lol
 
Just get enough calories you will need more depending on exercise. so like 2500 calories I would go for 3000 if your doing intense cardio

Fasting decreased my igf-1 levels to that of an 80year old woman. That was like a 24 hour fast.... If you're set on it, maybe do a 14-16hour fast. Long fasts do stunt growth, don't forget.

Yeh but surely that would just maintain weight and not help me cut? I basically want to cut without fucking up growth lol (or at least just get rid of the fat somehow)

fasting wont stunt your growth so long as you arent in a chronic long term hypocaloric state

So just get enough calories in the eating window?
if your tdee is 2k (hypothetically) thats 14k total weekly expenditure, 60k monthly energy expenditure, etc. Keep yourself isocaloric on the long term when youre fasting and you will be fine.

E.X: If you fast two days in the week you add 4k calories over the other five days, youre still at 14k on the week so youre still isocaloric
