It's probably a combination of things. The journal rationalizes that better looking females have the comfort of being able to be be more picky, and thus they have less sex (I would assume it's rare for them to find someone that meets their standards).

I was going to ratio female height and multiply by 6'5 in base 12, but there's no point since it's the same height. Either 6'1 isn't the ideal height in Argentina or it's fully based on cultural factors. It could also be based on how much height has helped survival in the environment.
