Why would our government protect the drugmakers? Money. Lots of it! You can't run a hospital or a doctor's office without drugmakers. No pills, no doctors. Heavy restrictions on drugmakers > alienation of doctors. Pharmaceutical companies shower doctors and hospitals with gifts, money, vacations, and upper-class patients. They also invest billions of dollars into medical schools. Then there's the insurance industry. Even more fucking money! No insurance, fewer hospitals, more cost for drugs, doctors barely making a living = NO MONEY FOR POLITICIANS AND GOVERNMENT! Also, wealthy slags and retards would have to find another career that requires "real" brain power.

Not many folks are aware of a certain "suspicious" federal exemption from law that would concern many honest Americans.

The federal government allows their employees a two-month supply of Schedule IV controlled substances from Mexico six times annually without a US prescription. They can legally bring it back into the USA, even when it's against state law! You know, the law that prohibits citizens from having illegal controlled substances? That law! They allow federal employees to bring drugs like Xanax and Valium (highly addictive anti-fear medications) over the border into the United States, regardless if the Mexican doctor is legit, qualified, or a convicted felon.
