Let's meet in the middle possibly. I would say train for test increase and bone development for optimal gains. Muscles could come last. Weight bearing exercises and efficient exercises to add on bone mass ,give illusion of wider frame, and increase testosterone to improve your masculine features.

Maybe train differently from the traditional body building split and eating habits. Eat more nutrient dense foods high in k2,vitamin d, antioxidant, than the traditional chicken and rice that will promote healthy bone growth while going to the gym for a moderate amount.
