few questions about bimax

1. will a bimax shorten or lenghten my face overall? i saw some people's cases their face became longer which is far from what im aiming for
2. idk if im crazy but i noticed alot of post op bimax patients canthal tilt went more upwards going from subhuman eye area to somewhat decent
3. and lastly it shortens your philtrum too correct?

bimax makes your face appear longer cuz its pushes your jaw in front so it makes your chin more prominent, sometimes bimax just fixes overall face so maybe your canthalt tilt will appear more positive, but dont have high expectations , philtrum isnt concerned with bimax.

1. It depends if you get CCW or CW, CCW shorten your face a bit (not too dramaticly) and CW is done to fix short face syndrom.
2. After bimax most of the time patients get their upperjaw moved forward which give a better under eye support (usually it doesn't make that big of a difference but it can be still a slight improvement).
3. No bimax doesnt change philtrum length, it can just give the illusion that your philtrum is shorter since you upper lip can lift when the upper jaw is moved forward

All of this depends on the movements. "Bimax" doesn't denote a specific movement
