Title tbh^

I would rather read a story that excites me while also giving me the lessons a self help book offers than read something like atomic habits.

These books rarely help and if it does you mostly only apply it in your life for awhile and stop as this is not how really optimal for most of us. Most of us need that excitement and entertainment and really immersing ourselves into that scenario to actually learn something (this is similar to sports) rather than be mouth fed these valuable life lessons.

Disagree what if creative fiction doesn't interest you that much? I am for both tbh I've read Atomic Habits (not full) it was actually great, some Self Help books are good and can also increase your intellectual cultivation. Fiction is for entertainment, Self Help books aren't unless you are retarded mental masturbator or the delusional redpiller who just reads SH books for feeling better but not applying (or actually getting anything out of it). Ofcourse not all Self Help books are great I'm talking about the few good ones

The best way to tell if someone is stupid is to ask them if they can learn anything from fiction and they say no.
