Finally got a perm done

And holy shit did I have long hair, mine is usually curly on an African level but this loosened up my hair


It was straight for like 3 days but now it's curly again but still way looser than it used to be

Having experienced what straight hair feels like my hatred for you straight haired bros only grew, you guys get to wake up brush and can go outside without looking like circus freaks

Atleast I look fully mediterranean now rather than mixed

No you got curly hair, mine was bordering actual African hair, the straightening was temporary now it's fully curly, I used to ask chatgpt for my phenotype and hair type, every single time it'd say I have african origins and predominantly black when I facially don't even look like it lmao, now look what it says

I don't even have any known family members from Southern Europe let alone America

Curly but borderline coily (I coped with so many products lmao)

They were extremely frizzy as well and the shrinkage is ridiculous, they went from barely covering my ears to reaching my shoulders when I straightened them

Damn nice so do you think I should get a perm or keratin or something or should i focus on growing them out making them healthier by applying curl cream or leave in conditioner etc?

Curl cream is cope, so is conditioner, I bought truck loads of the stuff, it's messy looks greasy and doesn't even give you the desired effect

It just extends the time it takes for your hair to dry and curl cream just hardens the curls


A perm should be mandatory, my hair used to be dry af even when wet it felt like touching hay, now it's pretty smooth


My barber put a little bit of a specific relaxer in my hair, she applied it in a certain way and used an exact quantity so it doesn't become straight but stays wavy/curly

i have 2c hair and I use leave in but I think it just dries out the hair instead of hydrating even tho it adds more definition

2a-c is ideal hair tbh

But yeah leave in is mostly cope unless you have really thick hair

What products would you recommend? Or do you not use any? Ig the only product that works well for me is the conditioner that I use in the shower

I don't what products would be good for type 2 hair since mine has always been 3c-4a but leave in conditioner probably to get rid of frizz

I'm fully arabic /mediterranean but somewhere along the lines I got mixed up features that make look mixed

My skin tans a lot under the sun, I got big lips and wide nose but still facially I don't really look mixed I just look mediterranean, it's my hair that's extremely curly to the point where it's an afro
