Finally starting chess for higher IQ

I just made an account on chess.com apparently playing chess gives you a higher IQ I did an IQ test and it reported back 68 I’ll give you guys an update once I reach 100 give me a month

chess does not raise your iq and generally doesn't make you more intelligent. you should try to raise your reading level and focus your energy on applicable knowledge not some game

if anything it lowers it

take it from me who has been playing chess for 13 years. i mean not playing for 13 years but i learnt how to play 13 years ago, before you were born

Playing chess doesn’t make your IQ higher, you just need a high IQ to be good at chess
