Good luck with your castration, masculinity minimizing goals of 2020. Recent studies are showing just how bad finasteride is for you which isn’t surprising because DHT and the contributors to hair loss are responsible for so many other bodily functions. The ~2% of people experience side effects meme needs to die already, it’s not true

Straight up I don’t at all believe the studies out there showing the low side effect rate, and I think big pharma pays a lot of money to have them downplayed. Literally 90% of forum posts I’ve seen on reddit, hair loss forums, or here mention significant decreases in libido, erection qualify, and/or brain clarity and energy. It’s not a vocal minority, there’s way too many people speaking about it. And just by common sense of course something that blocks your DHT production is going to fuck up your male characteristics. DHT is the hormone responsible for developing those attributes in puberty but also contributes to maintaining your sex drive, energy, and such when you’re an adult. Studies show DHT increases GABA activity in the brain, lowers serotonin and estrogen, lowers cortisol, increases dopamine, and that’s just what we know. We still only have studied the tip of the iceberg when it comes to DHT’s roles and effects on the body. But big pharma is perfectly fine pumping out fin because men are so insecure over their hair and they’ll follow the money. Then they can always get paid more to try to treat the side effects of it later.

We also have these:

I imagine in 10-20 years finasteride will be far more discouraged and then all the doctors who prescribed it and pharmacists who pushed it and knew the risks will play dumb and act like the negative consequences are new information just like with cigarettes back in the day and plenty of other drugs over the years.

Jfl at thinking blocking the hormone that plays a key role in developing male sex characteristics and is powerful enough to halt balding won't have consequences. Use common sense. I'm not balding/bald so I have no stake in this, but facts are facts.

I'm 24 and start at like 22.5 so idc.

Haven't experienced any sides besides hair regrowth + mental sanity

it only blocks up to 67% of dht btw, not 100%

Yes, fin will make your donor area thicker and give the surgeon a better selection of grafts to choose from.
