I’ve been shedding buckets of hair for around a year. Saw some people post about finasteride success in here so I gave it a try. My hair isn’t falling out anymore and it’s honestly an amazing feeling. The dread that I experienced from constantly seeing it fucking tumble down has gone away. I was on minoxidil prior to using fin, but it honestly didn’t work on me I guess. Only side effects I’ve noticed is going soft while fucking, but honestly idgaf about my fwbs as much as I care about my fucking hair. They’re getting cancelled because shit let’s be honest, if you’re bald in 2020 you might as well just rope.

i wasn’t really “balding” just more so severely shedding. Doc said it was due to stress. My hair thinned out a lot at the sides but it’s gotten better imo after taking minoxidil and finasteride. ill try to look for some before/after tho

maybe try lowering the dose. Are you taking the generic 5mg finasteride pills? Cuz that's a lot to take. I've heard guys had success taking .5 mg, with significantly less sides. Having difficulties getting hard is pretty scary imo, and may be a sign for worse things to come. Is your libido at least alright?

dude don't take finasteride if your shedding was due to stress. Finasteride works on the androgens, it's specifically for androgenic alopecia (aka male pattern baldness), not for telogen effluvium, which is what I think you were experiencing based on what you said. Tho if the shedding went way from finasteride, that may have been a sign you were actually suffering from male pattern baldness, it might just be diffuse thinning instead of the classic MPB where the recession start in the temples.

I have to take 0.25 x2 a week now cuz almost out.... and I reckon my order will take a while to get here.

it isn't hair protective but it doesn't 'prevent' hair loss if that makes any sense, it's neutral, and quite frankly it's under-researched when it comes to that aspect.
