Finasteride side effects

I started Finasteride yesterday to prevent balding and the only side effects i have noticed are i have to pee alot less, and slightly faster heart rate. Should i stop taking it or?

nobody irl notices if they have 50 or 60 heart rate

that's weird because when i first started taking it, the first few weeks i had to pee more and i used to wake up 1-2 times at night to pee but eventually that side effect went away and im back to normal, however the faster heart rate shouldn't be caused by fin, imo it might be caused due to the fact that you are stressing over it and you are cautious about getting sides and overthinking it, i did the same when i first started taking it and also had some mild sides but eventually they went away even though i increased my dosage (i started with 0.12 mg eod then 0.25mg then 0.5 and now i take 1mg eod) i'm at about 3 month mark and i feel good, i microdose accutane now as well and still no sides. to minimize the sides just start with low dosage and slowly increase and don't think about it, focus on work or something and whenever you take the pill just imagine you are taking some vitamin pill and don't let it get over your head, if you still feel stressed despite that, watch some kevin mann videos, anyways didn't expect to ramble that much haha

What's your current dosage? I would imagine that taking fin every single day (If it's 1mg daily) greatly increases the chances of getting any side effects. I take 1mg 3x a week, which I think is the safest dosage and can still be effective at the same time.

I was also at that level of norwood when I first started fin, back in July of 2020. But I knew it was most likely only going to prevent further hair loss and since I had been balding for many years, I knew a hair transplant was the only feasible option in the long run.

I had my HT almost 3 weeks ago but will continue to take fin.

i took some meds years ago that gave me bad heart palpitations and i have been aware of my heart rate ever since. It's especially noticeable when i lay down to sleep

0.5mg is almost as effective as 1mg.. you can even take 0.5 mg every other day and will still be enough to stop male pattern baldness for the majority of people, after some time you can increase to 1 mg every other day... you can cut the pill in half with a knife

i'll take 1 mg tomorrow morning and if i still experience these side effects ill try 0.5 mg dosage.

i would recommend to start taking 0.5 mg every other day right now and keep it at it, after a month or two if you are feeling ok then start taking 1 mg every other day
