Divide your IPD by your midface ratio.
This tells you what your IPD would be if you had a midface ratio of 1.0, keeping the midface height constant and changing the IPD only.
If the resulting number is a normal IPD in millimeters, you're an IPDcel.
If the result is too wide of an IPD in mm, you have a horseface.
Example: me
56 mm IPD ÷ 0.84 midface ratio = 66 ⅔
66 ⅔ mm is a normal IPD. Therefore my low midface ratio is caused by low IPD.
